2nd ICTED 2007 Conference Bangkok 9&10 Oct.2007
This event is supported and organised by The Mahidol Science School and IPST and many agencies in MOE and Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of ICT and is expected to attract over 800 participants, mainly teachers across all grades 1-12.

The New Web (Web 2.0), opportunities for teaching and learning
ICTED 2007 (Bangkok) ... 9 Oct.2007 Session 13.00-14.30
This (lecture) session will define what is meant by the term "Web 2.0" and what a web 2.0 website looks like.
Specific examples used will include Blogs (like this one you are reading now), online social bookmarks, and Wikis.
The choice of these examples is because they work just as well in Thai as in English.

Teachers further empowering student learning through Podcasting (session 1)

In this session we will look at what a Podcast is, how to make one and how to host it on the internet (all for free).
A Podcast is nothing really special ... it is simply making a recording (we will do audio only not video), editing the recording, add some music and put it on the internet .... the special part about all of this is that it is now very easy to do and it is simple to learn.
We will also investigate how Podcasting can be used to support teaching and learning,

Welcome .. this Blog is designed to support workshops or other professional development events I am contributing to in Bangkok (or nearby).
